Tattoo Tales is about the stories behind the ink.
Through photography and storytelling, I want to capture not only the tattoo, but the person who chose it and the story that made it meaningful.
More Than Ink.
A tattoo can be tiny and almost hidden.
It can cover an entire arm.
It might be a name. A date. A lyric. A portrait. A football badge. A character from a favourite film. A quote that helped someone through a difficult time.
It might commemorate someone who is no longer here.
It might represent a new beginning.
Or perhaps there is absolutely no profound reason behind it at all.
You just loved it.
That is a story too.
Tattoo Tales isn't about whether a tattoo is beautiful, fashionable or technically perfect.
It's about why it's there.

I want to photograph tattoos belonging to real people with real stories.
Men. Women. First tattoos. Fiftieth tattoos. Tiny tattoos. Elaborate pieces. Sentimental tattoos. Funny tattoos. Tattoos you planned for years and tattoos you decided to get on a Tuesday afternoon.
Alongside your photographs, I'll ask you to tell me the story behind your tattoo.

Your tattoo is more than ink. This relaxed photography session is designed to capture the tattoo, the person behind it, and the story that made it part of you.

Before we photograph anything, I want to know the story behind your tattoo.
We'll talk about what it means to you, why you chose it and the memories, people, passions or moments connected to it.
Your story might be beautiful, funny, painful, spontaneous or deeply personal.
There is no "right kind" of Tattoo Tale.
